RIC’s Railway Management Systems
The safety of our employees, contractors, visitors and the wider community is critical and informs the way our business operates at every level.
That is why we have implemented a series of management systems to ensure we can successfully identify, evaluate and proactively manage any potential health and safety or environmental issues. One such system is Lucidity, which allows all staff to access all management systems from their smartphone via an app, which is particularly useful for our on-site technicians.
RIC’s Management Systems are ISO certified to ISO:9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018
Health and Safety Management
Our duty of care to health and safety goes beyond looking out for our team to also assuring the safety of anyone coming on to site in any capacity. To achieve our goal of safety excellence, we have implemented a comprehensive Health & Safety Management System (HSMS).
This system allows us to systematically identify, assess and control all hazards and risks which may be encountered through the execution of our work. Our intention is to eliminate preventable work place injuries and illness, prevent avoidable costs, and maintain productivity and efficiency.
Additionally we have integrated our HSMS system with the SAI Global Quality System Certification and are working toward accreditation to AS/NZS 4801- Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
Quality Management
Our current Quality Management System is compliant with ISO: 9001 and has operated on all of our projects since 2005. Over time it has matured and developed into an effective management tool for all aspects of Rail Industry Constructions business.
Environmental Management
Integrated with the Quality System certification is an Environmental Management System which focuses on protection of the environment and prevention of pollution. Our personnel have the training and experience to deal with any environmental issue that may arise in a rail signalling construction project, ensuring that any potential regulation breaches are avoided.
